Hard to believe. Left 26 runners on base in a 14 inning game. 21 hits and 7 walks and managed to score 3 runs. It all would have been moot if Henke had continued to perform brilliantly. In the first 14 games he played for me, he had thrown 18 innings, allowing 6 hits, saved 12 out of 12 oppportunties and had not allowed a run. Last night he blew all three in 5 innings pitched he allowed 10 hits and three runs, but those three all led to blown saves and a 1-2 series.

Has anyone left more than 26 runners on base in a game?

Mike

WOW.

Maybe you stranded 26 because of your team name? LOL

It may just be HAL's twisted sense of humor that the runners stranded match my 26th Rox team!

Wake up guys? 26, that's huge. Yikes. Henke going beyond the cuckoo's nest... One goes east, one goes west, one goes beyond the cuckoo's nest.

On the Opposite Extreme...

This game was from the first 70s league I participated in, and my team did the complete opposite. My team won 9-5, scored in six separate innings, and while the opposing team left 14 players on base, my team did not leave a single runner on base.

How's that for efficiency?? :D
