how fast do the 80's fill up

I just missed my calling as a league filled yesterday. 6/22/09.
I bought my first strat-o-matic game in 1980. I played with those 80's team thoughout the decade, peppered with some old timers for some fun.
I had shelved my strat-o-matic in the mid 90's. There it sat for a good 15 years untouched, then when my son asked about it......it reintroduced me to the greatest game ever!!!!
So I found this site yesterday, I wanted to get in a league yesterday, I was brushing up on the rules, so I missed it. So I ask how long before another 80' league opens up, or even a 70's league they seem like a lot of fun. How long does it take to draft a team based on a 80mill payroll??
Just a few questions for a old rookie. I cant wait to see the league form, and get going again. I probably won't win many games, that's ok with me.

Generally two 80's leagues fill per week. Drafting takes me about 20-30 minutes, but I've played in 60 leagues now so I generally know who I want based on the stadium I am playing in. I'd say an hour to draft the first time.
