Does a human assign the 3-character team abbreviations?

Example: A team in my league is named "Saban Nation I". The 3-character abbreviation is "TID".
I get the reference but I'd be shocked if a computer came up with this on its own . . . .

it is computer generated. The humans at TSN really don't care what the team abbreviations turn out to be.

I am sure the computer generates the 3 initials. That is why I like to name many of my teams "assassins" giving me the AS_ abbreviation. :D

In the mystery finals there is an Assasins team and a Titans team. So we have some T&A. I doubt a human did that but who knows?

You really shouldn't pick on Alabama. I realize that they built that Mercedes plant a mile from the University of Alabama so they could have an endless supply of crash test dummies, but....
I would also bet that the team Saban Nation I is probably sitting in last place of that league or was put on probation by TSN.
Bernie doesn't have time to create initials, so TID or TIDY Bowl is computer generated.
Rigged Splits noticed the T & A match-up in the finals. I wonder who came out on top?
