...should be in the Hall Of Fame.
:P
I picked him up a week ago when I got mad at Tony Pena. He is hitting .379 with a .390 OBP. He has six doubles and eight RBI in 39 ABs.
Enough criteria....for me anyway....to be in the HOF.

Can we petition to have him put in the HOF?

After we get Kevin McReynolds into the hall, we can then work on Davis.

Kevin McReynolds isn't hitting .394, with a .429 OBP, for me.

Davis will have to do significantly better than that in order to match the awesomeness that is Kevin McReynolds.

Neither one would make the cut on my team. Maybe McReynolds if someone cut him in his 86 year. Davis is #53 on the All time Cubs list. (wow).McReynolds is the most popular Met (based on database searches).
Either way, I would trade Davis for Guerrero while he is hot. You must have his best .248 batting year.
Let me how he did at the end of the season. :D
Voovits, start a new 80s league where all 12 teams must pick McReynolds as their 1st choice. I'll play!

I'll start a league where I put him as my first choice and everyone else puts him second. Or even better, where I put him as my last choice and nobody else puts them on their card.
BTW his 88 card is better than his 86 card. He hits a little better against righties in 88, and you generally face more righties than lefties.
I'd love to know where you gathered that he's the most popular Met. He happens to be my all-time favorite baseball player, but I didn't think he was that popular.

I guess I was wrong. He was most popular for one day in 2003. I think Mazzili has the lead over Keith Hernandez.
