Question: does the following box score eliminate the lo to the max inj. or is this a glitch in the game?

ummm, neither? LO max -- Lineout into the maximum number of outs possible. If one other runner is on base with zero or one outs, it's a double play. If two or more runners with zero outs, there is a chance for a triple play...

Ripkens 1990 card has a lineout+inj vrs a right, it is not a lineoutmax.
If you are asking if the lineout double play eliminates his 90 card (assuming it was a right handed pitcher), the answer is yes.

It is true that lomax does not guarantee a triple play, but at least a double play is guaranteed if there is a runner on base and 0 or 1 out. You can not hit into a double play on just a lineout.
