Good ol' SS dilemma

Postby Ragnarokpc » Wed Sep 02, 2009 8:48 am

Okay, so I got Larkin, which is cool, since I'm a Reds fan. What's not cool is I have either '87 or '88 from an injury reveal. '88 is passable . . . a .771 OPS from a SS that can field. But '87 is not . . . an OPS of only .672. Not good for 5.5mil . . . And through 74 ABs Mr. Larkin is coming up with a .597 OPS. Now granted, in many of my home games he has underperformed, but I'm hurting at Short, and obviously it's a weak position in the game. What would you do? I have UL Washington as a backup, he's doing almost the same offensively. There are no other guys out there better than a 3 (except Shawn Dunston), so I'm going to lose Defense at Short if I drop Larkin . . . but it's a lot of money to spend on an underachiever, too.

I'm in your league... Dunston won't kill you in your park and may even give you some pop along with a good glove. He's by no means a sure shot, but he [b:42be077b23]CAN[/b:42be077b23] be good.
