Low payroll leagues

Postby honestiago1 » Sun Jan 29, 2006 3:41 pm

What kind of experience has anyone had in low payroll leagues? It would seem to me it'd be interesting to play a 60M payroll. You plunk down the big bucks for Clemens, you ain't got a lot left for others (though Rocket becomes even more valuable in that league).

Speaking of, what would the actual roster value (in Strat terms) be of, say, the 86 Red Sox? Does it stack up realtistically to the 80M we have to deal with?

Actual payroll

I did a very quick check of BOS salaries for '86 members: Rocket, Boyd, Hurst, Nipper, Schiraldi, Crawford, Sambito, Gedman, Buckner, Benzinger, Baylor, Barrett, Boggs, Owen, Evans. There are others missing, but these guys are well under the 80M payroll.

If I acquire any free credits from my upcoming playoff team, I may start a league like this.
