anyone know why Russell Martin has J. Martin on his jersey?

His full name according to baseball-reference.com is "Russell Nathan Coltrane Jeanson Martin"
The J. is probably for Jeanson.
To my knowledge there are no other Martins on the team, so I don't know why the J is necessary, probably his decision to put it there.
