Paul's a 50/50 Guy! League Postponed until after holidays.

Yes indeed, it's true! I have ascended into the Top 50 all-time 70's players! Sadly, it took me 30 teams to get there. It seems that you just don't get many points for coming in third all the time. Anyway, I have persevered and joined this elite group of managers. Ugly Jerry, you're at 49 and I've got you in my sights!

Ironically, I reached the Top 50 in the same year of my 50th birthday. Another reason to celebrate! My wife reminds me that all guys over 50 are supposed to get a colonoscopy, but I prefer to just start a new theme league, so here it is!

To celebrate my membership in the exclusive 50/50 club I am looking for volunteers for a challenging concept: a $50M Two-Team Theme League. That's right - $50M. You're going to experience life like we KC Royals fans do.

Here are the details.

- Each manager picks 2 teams in a 2-round serpentine draft.
- You own the rights to every player who played the majority of his seasons with your team.
- If a player had the same number of seasons with two teams, use Games Played for hitters and IP for pitchers to break the tie.
- A two-round supplemental draft will be held to draft players on the two teams that did not get picked. These two teams will likely be the Mariners and Blue Jays, but I might be wrong.
- $50M league. We'll have to use the $200M option, so everyone will have to have $150M available at all times.
- 25-man rosters at all time. DH and weighted waivers.

Anybody can throw an $80M team together. Even $60M is pretty easy. But it takes a genius to win with $50M. Suddenly the Mike Schmidts and Reggies of the world don't look so good.

All are welcome - veterans, new players, anyone. When you sign up, identify yourself and YOUR current 70's ranking.

Sign-up now and feel free to congratulate me on 50/50!

About that colonoscopy, I had my first one 3 years ago when I turned 50 and I enjoyed it so much, I give myself a self examination daily. If I didn't already have 3 teams going, I'd love to join this league but because of that I'll pass...Now go get that anal probe done...Then, and only then, will you find out why life begins at 50.

Wow, I've had more well wishers on the colonoscopy than takers for this league. I guess it's a dud idea, plus most of you guys I play with regularly are maxed out on leagues right now.

I'll put this idea on hiatus until after the holidays, then we'll see if we can find more takers.

Thanks, Paul
