I spoke with Bernie today. He just got back from his 1st vacation in 10 years and was surprised that the leagues had started. He will start on the Web Page immediately.
He also mentioned that he was looking to upgrade the 70s and 80s mystery games with more features. That is something that we can look forward to in the near future.
Finally, I asked him what I could do with my 0-6 start in the 70s. He said "can't help you there"
We thank Bernie for his efforts in making this 70s/80s Players Tourney a good one. I just don't want to be in the #60 position when the standings come out!

Chess, you're doing a great job as our commish, with great communication with both the managers and Bernie.
Many thanks for me, and I'm sure, from all of us!

My 70's team is looking abysmal, and not injury reveals as yet. awesome. Want to give guys a chance to prove/disprove themselves but that's hard when you have a team ops of .558 and your big-money ace is 0-2 in three starts.

Hey everyone... first of all, the official tournament page is up:
http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/stratomatic/70s/tournament/2010/
The standings are now updating every morning at 6am ET. Please check to make sure all the info, and league and rules details are correct. As far as I know, I've updated everything, with the exception of the Prizes section, for which I'm still organizing the details.
Second, I didn't say first vacation in [i:d5a47209ff]10[/i:d5a47209ff] years (!), but it's been a few at least.
Third, yes, as chess said, I'm going to be investing some more time in the '70s and '80s games, at least as much as I can. I'm still catching up on a lot of things but I'll be making a long-overdue return to this forum when I'm able to give it the attention it deserves. For now, I'm just thrilled to be working with chess on getting this tournament off the ground and I thank him for all his hard work.

Great job, guys.
Bernie, glad to hear you're thinking about the BTT80's renovation again. We're starving for some new players to be thrown into the mix (and adjusted prices).

Ironic that you're looking for more 80's players - not that I'm complaining but there's a lot more to choose from in 80's than in 70's.

I am bumping this up. I have asked Bernie to create a "sticky".
Can anyone beat my 5-16 70s team? What a disaster!!
