Who is that '80s player who is always listed #1 on your draft card?
Who is your favorite reliever?
Who is your favorite scrub?
Always interesting to hear different views, so here goes...
1. I used to try to get Dale Murphy as my #1 pick. After too many 1989 carded seasons I was scared away. Now, I like Gary Carter at Fenway.
2. I have to go with Gene Garber. For .75, you almost always get a good season for very little cash.
3. For whatever reason I like Billy Ripken. Two of his carded years are very repectable for a mere .75. Billy is like the 80s version of Denny Doyle. Bob Bailor and Jim Presley are also up there.
What about you?

1. My favorite 80s player, Kevin McReynolds is always on my draft card. The best part about it, is that I get to put him last on my card and still always get him.
My #1 pick varies depending on what my draft card looks like.
2. Favorite reliever is close between Tom Niedenfuer and Tim Burke
Both have 1 absolutely lights out season (Burke has multiple usefull seasons) that trump almost anything the best of any other releiever could dish out. And they're both cheap. I have then on my draft card every time.
3. Chris Bando, hands down is my favorite cheapie player. Luis Polonia is a close second with Pat Sheridan a reasonable third. Honorable mention goes to Ed Romero for his versatility.

I always try to get Yount first and I did this last draft, but I traded him and Van Slyke for puckett and O. Smith.
Reliever...smeliever, starters should go the distance!
best scrub is G. Young. He does it all for me when asked upon. I think he's the best role player in the under 1 million range.
Also. he's never my first pick, but I've never had a bad season with will clark, even with his backwards card.

REMY!!!! .96Mil, can't go wrong.
2B-2 e15, 5 card avg of .287 AVG and .341 OBP
Spend all that saved money on the rest of the lineup!

Rickey and Eddie are my favorite number 1 picks. Ripken is my worst number one. He never performs well.
For relievers I like Kipper.
.75 hitters that I like include Perry, Oester and Bergman
