Don Wilson

Howdy,

I grew up attending Astros games in the 70s. I remember reading about the late Don Wilson's death when I was in 5th grade and it saddened me.
I've drafted Don Wilson in the past, because he was a good pitcher and I'm sentimental; no shame there.
But I've had little luck with Don Wilson. It seems that switch-hitters and even low-rent Lefties can hit him..at least when he's been on my roster. Larry Dierker has yielded similar results too, fwiw. What about you?
Larry
PS: The most disappointing "good" SP I've tried is easily Mike Cuellar; he takes the cake!

I haven't had Mike on one of my 70s teams for awhile. However, I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for him: he has thrown two no-hitters for me!

Don Wilson is normally very good for me and love to pitch in the Astrodome. He is always a top pick for my 70's teams.

Actually picked him up part way into an Astrodome season...Finished 15-10 with a 3.51 ERA and a 1.32 WHIP...That was with his '69 season which I think may be his worst on the card...
