Another try at $60M...

Last week I attempted to get a $60M cap league started with no success. I dissolved it and got a couple notes from people asking me if I would start it again. I thought it might be fun just to get something a little different going. Won't you please help out a doddering, feeble old man and get this thing going? Thanks...

I've been busy lately what with buying my first home and with all the things that go with it I've let SOM slide for the last couple of months so I missed out on your attempt to get a $60 mil. league going. I find these leagues very interesting and will join in the next few days if I can.

I was in one only once before that someone started and smelled up the joint so I thought I would like to try again. Just plug your nose and jump in...

yea,I was in that league and lost in the finals. You finished 80-82. Not exactly smelly. I've done a lot worse before.

The Senators,

Brand new to to Strat-O-Matic online and just joined your league. How long to you think we should wait until we know its a go.

It was my first time picking a team and found it much more fun to fill a 60M, than an 80M. 60m seemed to leave many more weaknesses and I kind of liked that. I just reitred and have plenty of time on my hands now.

Ready to play I hope it fills.

Thanks Soup (Houston Dust)

the thing I like about the $60mil. leagues is it lets you use players that would normally be left off $80mil. teams. Sometimes it opens your eyes to players who could be useful on your $80mil. teams at a later date.

Another cool thing about the $60 million format is statistics will be more realistic. In an $80 million (or above) league, hitters stats on average are depressed and pitchers ERA (again, on average) can be expected to be too high.

The Big Hair and Plastic Grass League is a $60 million league and it only has two spots to fill. You will basically draft one player from a limited pool and a unique stadium. Also, it's no DH. Otherwise, it's pretty standard.

Check out it's thread for more info.
