Playoff question

Postby KEVINBUTLER 2 » Fri Jul 02, 2010 12:01 am

Hey guys, I'm tied for first in my division with only one series to go in the season. Both I and the team I am tied with will make the playoffs. I also have no chance at homefield except in the first round. My question is; is it worth it for me to sit my best players and take the wild card to avoid injury going into the play offs? The other teams that will make the playoffs stadium effects are similar to mine (candlestick), except one who is blasting away in the Kingdome.

Thanks!

I would not sit guys in this situation unless they are injury prone (e.g. Eric Davis, Ron Hassey). Home field advantage in the first round can be helpful, and the risk of injury is pretty slight except for those guys who have to sit out games with broken fingernails.
