Worth the money or not.

Howdy,

I've never read a kind word on Merv Rettenmund as far as 70s SOM goes.
Of course one never reads kind comments about Joe Rudi either, until I drafted him for one of my Astrodome teams and he at least earned his salary.

He's got two seasons where he is worth the money. You have to ask yourself, "Do you feel lucky?"

I think I've used him twice and kept him once when I did get one of his good years.

Thank you both for your input. I have decided to dump Merv, but it was a difficult choice. Jim Rice seemed a much better option.

I still can't believe Rice was even available a week after the draft!
