I want to congratulate the FINAL 4 managers in the 70s/80s Mystery Players Championship!

The regular season has come to a close. Defending Champion Hailedog, High Powered Hallerose, and the legendary DarthRuvo will fight it out to become the 2010 Best Mystery Champion and win a slew of prizes.

Of course, everyone wanted an underdog, so the overachieving Voovits will be the 4th team trying to win the Championship. Its kind of like the 14th seed trying to knock off the #1 seed in March Madnessl.

First round matchups are:
SNK Crushers (voovits) 84-78 (Second place/Eastern Division)
vs
Halles Heroes BS10-C (hallerose) 101-61 (First place/Eastern Division)

Brentwood Beagles CS (hailedog) 83-79 (First place/Western Division)
vs
Pan-Galactic Gargle Blasters (DarthRuvo) 88-74 (First Place/Central Division)

Voovits and DarthRuvo are from Tennessee, hailedog from Canada, and hallerose from California.

Here's a link to the playoff page for everyone to watch the finale.

Keep your eye for announcements for the 2011 70s/80s/90s/ Championship games. We will have 3 seasons including the new 90s. I truly believe that I will finally make the Final 12 and hopefully the Final 4 :D
Expect Mega prizes and Mega Fun!

Congrats to hailedog on back-to-back championships. And a big thanks to chess for running the league. I'm looking forward to next year.

It was an excellent season, and I was lucky enough to make it to the finals and have a shot at winning it all (sorry Hallerose!), but it wasn't enough to overcome the great Hailedog.
Congratulations on your victory! I'll be looking forward to next years tournament. Hopefully by then I won't be considered an overachiever. :D

BTW, since the 90s game is going to be new and (I'm assuming) most will be playing that for a while, why not do 1 70s, 1 80s and 2 90s leagues for the tournament, keeping with the 4 season tradition?
