I'm down 7-0 going into the 9th inning, only got 2 hits for the entire game up to this point. Surely the game is over right???

What's puzzling to me is why did HAL insert Wickman into the game in the 8th with a 7-0 lead when he is listed as the mopup guy? I thought mopup guys were only supposed to come in when trailing.

Mopup pitchers will bue used if there is a big lead regardless who is ahead. It's more common to see when losing big since you will always need a reliever in that case.
