Replacement owner needed for Franchise League

Postby LMBombers » Sun Nov 28, 2010 7:49 pm

One owner is dropping out of this league and we need a replacement. Every season you get to keep one real team and then draft a second team to use for a given year. You are elligible to use any player that had 1 AB or 1 IP in real life for either of those teams that season that has a card in the game. To see complete rosters by year and team go here: http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/

After a season ends you get to chose which of your teams you wish to keep which then drops your 2nd team into a pool of teams that gets to be redrafted. Over the years you can keep that same team forever or change your keeper team every so often. We are entering the 1984 season and plan to go through 1999. We will use the 80's game through 1989 and then jump to the new 90's game the rest of the way.

The replacement manager will get to chose to keep either the Blue Jays or the Cubs. You will then get to chose a new 2nd team from the other dropped teams. You must use one of your team's stadiums and try to make it obvious which two teams you have in your team name.

The leagues are 80M/DH.

We might need another manager for this league. Please let me know if you might be interested.

from post on Franchise League heading

about the "84". Does it mean we can only pick players who have played up to 1984 or from 84 for on? Either way, I'm interested if you will have me. Could use complete rules to help me from being a hinderance instead of a benefit to the league.

Thanks,
Jeff

tomjack the complete rules are available somewhere on this forum but you may have to go back awhile. The complete rules were posted for me when I joined as a latecomer for the 1980 season. That would be not quite a year ago I think.

Look for "Double Decade Double Franchise" or "DDDF" headers.

UglyJerry has surfaced and made his draft pick. Tomjack, thank you very much for stepping forward. We will think of you if there is another opening in the future.
