Did you know that Gary Ward was named to two All Star teams in his career (1983, 1985) and Kirk Gibson was never named to an All Star team?

Did you know that in 1988, the year Kirk Gibson won the NL MVP and a Silver Slugger, he did not make the NL All Star team, but Vince Coleman, Gerald Perry and Vance Law did?

I did not know that. I do recall, however, that Kirk Gibson was one of the biggest jerks ever to play professional sports. So, I'll credit the voting fans here - nice job!

Did you know that Hall of Famer Juan Marichal, considered by many to be one of the greatest pitchers of his generation, never won a Cy Young award?

Did you know that Hammerin' Hank Aaron never hit 50 home runs in a season? 47 was the most he ever hit in 1971.

But, he played in his prime at Milwaukee County Stadium. According to ATG, the splits there were 3/3/1/1! By 71, he was in Atlanta. Think if he would have played his entire career at Fulton County. Might have added around 50+ HRs to his career totals, which Bonds probably wouldn't have caught...

Fulton County was a launching pad. You are absolutely correct. Although in all fairness, if Bonds didn't have all the baggage and wasn't such a jerk, he could probably still be playing today. I am not Bonds apologist but man he was good. I live in SF so I know all about the Bonds blinders this city has for him, but man he was a jerk. A great player, but such a jerk that he basically got run out of the game.
