Ron Leflore as everyday CF?

Howdy,
Ron LeFlore looks to be an under-priced player, given his good OBP, hitting and speed. Would you use him as your daily CF? He's rated as a 3e10, btw..
My other OFers would be a "3" and a "2" in my 70s league. I'm accustomed to having at [i:27d54370e5]least[/i:27d54370e5] a "2" in CF. Anyone?

I've used him as my centerfielder before but I've always had a sub with better defence for late innings. I think he's under priced as well.
I'll secure a "2" as a backup

Howdy,
Good advice, Pyramid1. If I "land" Leflore, I'll be sure to have a "2" as a back-up and for late innings with a lead.

I have used him in CF before with really good results. With his speed he is ideal on a small ball type team. IMO he is a really great value for the price and his offense makes up for any of his defensive shortcomings. He does strike out a lot though (or at least he has for me). Overall he is a pretty good deal.
..and yet I never seem to find room for him

Howdy,
I was unable to "land" LeFlore in the draft, so I took Rick Miller, a "1" for the same moeny. Miller is having his best card. [i:dfc589f350]Now[/i:dfc589f350] LeFlore comes up available in the FA pool and..once again, I really don't have a roster spot for him!
If LeFlore could've played LF or RF, his salary would be a good $1.6 million higher, IMHO. Anyway, there LeFlore sits..just an observation.

I don't think he's a viable option. He has way (way) to many gb(A) on his good cards and is one of the worst clutch hitters in the player pool.

Personally I would never use a rating of 3 OR an e10 in CF, let alone both. I have never owned LeFlore, but it seems like in every league I am ever in, someone picks him, and then ends up dumping him between 1/3 and 1/2 way thru the season b/c he underperforms. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there are many who have had great success with him... but I'll bet most of them used him as a relatively cheap DH.
