Going forward, 24-team leagues will now culminate in an expanded 3-round playoffs. I know, right?

* - This affects the 2010 Season and All-Time Greats VI player sets ONLY. Currently running 24-team leagues that are about to start their playoffs next week will NOT change to this new 3-round format; all others will. [/quote:2dde7432a8]

I thought that the introduction of the 90s game would mean getting all the upgrades and enhancements the other games got. Remember the 7 game semi-finals? Nope, me neither.
We should voice our displeasure about this...

i want either a 50/60's mystery game but would prefer an atg mystery game. they did it already with that stupid fantasy baseball sim league they tried! the all time greats had mystery cards? why not now?

Well I keep hoping that the 80's update will happen. I heard of it quite some time ago but it keeps being delayed. I know hal isn't perfect, but the 80's version is one of the worst, and 80's would benefit from the depth chart and advanced bullpen stuff. There are a few pricing issues but overall just the manager improvements would be nice. The 24-team league enhancement would be neat but I'm not sure how the player pool would fare with that many teams. I've had a problem with high-quality talent in a standard 12-team, 80 mil league before

The 80s game would need more players added to the pool for a viable 24 team league to happen.
The 90s worked well in 24 team format, but it has to be a 60 million cap. I did one and it was good. I will not do another unless the playoff format gets changed though.

Voovits, even at $60 mil 80's is too thin? I guess I haven't played enough of other leagues . . . though the 2010 league I'm playing has several big bats still in the FA pool as we start play today so guess that's what I'm missing.

Well not having played in one because they don't exist, I'm only assuming. The 80s set is by far the smallest of the mystery card sets, so I'm assuming that it's currently not big enough for a 24 team league.

The 80s game has 55 catchers so I suppose it is possible but you would pretty much be stuck with whoever you got in the AD as there would be no more than 7 C left over. Some of the C have a different primary position (Cliff Johnson, Keith Moreland, Larry Sheets, etc) so I would think it possible to get only 1 C during the AD too.

Hopefully the 80's game will get some added players when/if it is revised and brought into the main game area.
