I believe Coleman is the only AAA steal guy in the game. I've played this game a number of times but have never ended up with him. I hate the OBP but the price and "steal at will" ability are intriguing. Has anyone else rostered him before? What was your experience? Does he indeed provide enough of a disruptive running element to warant a lineup spot?

I had him once, it was just like you think it would be... Steal at will in fact he had seven in one game for me. Problem is like you said low obp, low average, no power, and a very average defense for the outfield. My suggestion is stay away if you can, but if speed on the bases is what you crave, Coleman is the man.

He is a very expensive but excellent pinch runner. And if you then discover he has one of his two good years, preferably 87, he can start. His 87 card makes him a better lead off hitter than anyone but Rains and Rickey (and some years of Butler)

he is very hit or miss. below average defensively.... never been confident with him in the OF... not consistent enough of a hitter to be a DH
