Pitchers in Kingdome

Can anyone recommend a good cheap pitcher for the Kingdome? (i.e. someone without any (or very few) BPHRs?

There are a lot of cheap guys who can be good there if you land the right card...

Bankhead, Farrell, Tibbs, Leary, Sorenson, Youmans...

to name a few... but there are many others...

I have had good luck with Lea, Proly, Comer, Horton, and Caldwell.
The only problem is that you may have to try a few to get a couple that will work.

After 8 or 9 Kingdome teams, I can honestly say that no pitcher has ever done great. Given the fact that 50% of the outcomes come from the hitters' cards, everyone seems to get rocked. Looking for pitchers with low BPHR's is a part of the equation, but certainly doesn't make them a lock. I've tried the expensive pitcher approach, and the cheap pitcher approach. I'm kind of torn which way is best. But the Kingdome is a blast with your offensive squad. It can make your star players put up ridiculous numbers, but it can also make the mediocre guys put up all-star numbers, too. Fun park! :D

Despite two mediocre efforts in the Dome, I decided to throw another one out there and, so far, have had good pitching success (jinx). I went more expensive than I did in the past with Hershiser and Sutton (1980?), but also have filled in with some cheap guys, including a favorite for any park, Craig Swan. It is hard to rely on BPHR ratings in the 80s (unlike ATG) b/c often the bad cards have 'em and the good cards don't. At the end of the day, you want some good cards, BPHRs or not. That's why, if looking cheap, you should pick Swan.
