I'm going with a slightly different platoon idea: Pagliaroni vs. lefties and Comer vs. Righties (the all-Pilot platoon). Both are 4(+2), but with 2 Jarrys, one Launching Pad and one Wrigley in my division, stolen bases are not as big a factor (as watching your opponent's players circle the bases after losing one in the cheap seats).

In a huge 24 team, 2 League draft where every hitter but about 18 will be drafted I have gone with an Ellie Hendricks/Don Pavletich platoon. I am pretty happy with this platoon.

I'm having pretty decent luck with E. Hendricks/E. Rodriguez platoon after 42 games. Hendricks is rocking against right-handers.

Got two Ellie Hendricks platoons going, one with Ellie Rodriguez:

one with Joe Price:

You do what you can, with this talent pool. E-Rod is pretty near the top.

Maybe I'm nuts, but Tom Satriano ($0.51) makes a good platoon option. Seems to have decent OBP vs. RHP, plus good clutch. Haven't figured it out who should be the RH side yet. It ain't that he's great, it's that he's cheap, and you can use the money elsewhere.

Team's winning, sort of:
