1B/OF Big LH HR Bat AV:He's a 2 @...

1B :!: 2/e18 ! I remembered Le Expo & ex Dodger RON FAIRLY playing LF (where he may platoon for me) except he's only rated in RF 3(0) & CF.

Overall off. #s: .349 OB%, .476 slg, .825 OPS. Cost: $3.75M.

Hits RHs & LHs equally well so he's not really a platoon guy:
***********************************************************

Vs RH: .277 avg .349 OB .464 slg .813 OPS

Vs LH: .260 avg .351 ob .540 ! slg .891 ! OPS

Need comparably priced, LH Power hitter/LF :!: Will consider switch hitter.

Must be at least a "3" in LF, preferably better, ideally - or even arm. THX!

Hey "keyzick"--you "reached out to TSN" :?: Where is the love .

Play a wk away/need time to TRADE etc!

Will we start tomorrow or a week from Monday?[/quote:0230876a7f]

I've heard from many who expected & prefer to start a week from Monday to give all ample time to ramp up, consider trades, finalize and or expand rosters, etc.

It is Sunday night afterall & many want off the computers or have long since signed off, enjoy some down time.

The above is all too much to accomplish overnight and on such short notice. IMHO. We've spent this long on the draft what's another week to sample trade offers and such. That's our vote anyway.

The first games for this league will be Monday, May 7.

If a league is not full by Friday night (midnight EST), the league does not start until the following Monday. This is the rule imposed by The Sporting News; we have no vote on the starting date.

We filled the league today (Sunday), so we autodraft tonight and begin play on May 7.

$60M League?

Postby pedakrla » Mon Apr 30, 2007 9:54 am

Anyone ever played in a $60M league? It's something I'd like to try, because it seems like it would give you a roster close to a "typical" major league roster in terms of player caliber. You could only afford 1 or 2 stars, some solid regulars, and then you'd have to work to find cheap backups that fit your stadium, etc.

I have played in only one $60 million with the All-Time Greats catalog. It was competitive but a little boring. I'm not sure how it would work with the 1969 season (if that's waht you are thinking)...

I've played a number of ATG3 and am in the Championship game #7 tonight with one as I had the best record. In the past I did bad. As I got practice I think I must have found a secret.

It can be boring if you see it for what it is. I think it allows you to compete with different players that what you would be a higher cap. We all forget that many times a $3M SP was the 2nd best SP on a great team where in ATG3 he is a bullpen caddy. An Orlando Cepeda is a God.

I've never tried it in 1969 and probably because it seems that it wouldn't work with such a limited supply of players. With the 1969 set your using pretty low players in $100M cap so with a $60 M I would be concerned that there actually are enough mid range players.
