Padres/Indians Trade

Padres send Gary Green to the Indians for Frank Wills.

Trade wasn't big enough for Bernie to post my trade announcement article yet, but I wanted the regulars to know a deal was made in the interim.

As a result of the trade, the Padres has sent Lamar Hoyt back to Hoboken to see a specialist on his right elbow. He may require some extended spring training and his return date to the big league club remains TBD.

Ed Wojna takes his rotation spot for now and Wills sticks around as the 6th man in the bullpen.

Green stays with the Indians big league squad and will provide relief at SS for late innings when Cory Snyder needs it.
