Closer rule

Are the closer rules being used in 1986 like in the 200x games or are they turned off like in the ATG games?

I missed this conversation.
Does it mean the "C" ratings for relief pitchers are moot, like they are in the 1969 game? (I've never played any of the ATG games).
In other words, the point of weakness in closing opportunities for Kent Tekulve (C1) and Don Aase (C6)are no different?
