When Schiraldi was injured in the bottom of the 12th why did HAL bring in Roy Lee Jackson and then immediately take him out before he ever threw a pitch for Brian Fisher? The other team did not pinch hit or make any moves that is apparent. The game went another 6 innings. I sure could have used Jackson for some of those innings.

Now that is a mystery. Maybe JAckson was being called out of the bullpen, Calvin got P'oed and punched the dugout and hurt his hand, and HAL thought Jacskon was hurt and brought in the next pitcher.

Actually, this is quite simple. While the bullpen car was bringing in Jackson it had to quickly swerve to avoid a seagull which landed on the field. Due to an over correction in the steering the bullpen cart flipped over - pinning Jackson beneath it. Rescue workers and the jaws of life were immediately called in and Jackson was indeed pulled out of the fiery wreck in the nick of time. Due to the obvious emotional and physiological stress Jackson suffered, HAL maded the decision to bring in a new relief pitcher to give your team the best opportunity for a win. :shock:
