I figured we could start the discussion with a reveal of draft cards.

Joe Torre (for catcher)
Reggie Jackson
Joe Morgan
Ernie Banks (cheap 1b option)
Mel Stottlemyre
Carlton
Bud Harrelson (thin position)
Willie Mays (risk/reward)
Lou Pinella (nice card vs. LHP)
Brooks Robinson (boy what a bad card)
Ed Kirkpatrick
Bobby Cox (not sure why I had him so high)
Gaylord Perry
Bert Campaneris (see Bud above)
Jay Johnstone
Sparky Lyle (poor cheap RP options)
Dan Osinski
Dick Hall
Tug McGraw
Danny Murphy
Denny Lemaster (looks to be a good bargin)
Luis Tiant (UGLY)
Bill Mazeroski
Jim Spencer
Mike Ryan

I posted this on Bernies sticky at the top too. But has anyone look at J Roland? He should have a starter rating, it's even on his card! Which of course will increas his price, and mess up anyone who migt have drafted him

Can't remember much after my first few picks but mine was something like this:

McLain
Carlton
H. Aaron
C Tovar
Yaz
R Hundley
D. McNally
C Hunter
M Wills
J. Pepitone
B Robinson

I didn't rwrite them down but that is my first few in pretty much the order I selected them. I am at Tiger Stadium.

Can't believe I'm last in waivers after missing 3 SP, my 1b, 2b, 3b, and CF.

I got less than half my list, and I'm 8th. Ususally a draft like this would put me first or 2nd. I got one SP, 3 RP, CF, RF, 2B, and SS.

I got 12 out of the 25 on my card. Only 4 of the 6 pitchers on my card, 0 in the OF, nor my SS and C. Guess that explains why I am third on Waivers.

I am surprised what few OBP/Speed guys are there for the top of the order. Most guys with speed and OBP are middle of the order guys like Jackson and Wynn. It goes to show how much the game has changed. In 1969 they batted speed at the top and did not worry about OBP. See Brock, Cardenal,Wills, etc
