Why don't we do this...For example: If I decide to leave Frank Robinson off of my list of 20...I will let you know and Frank will become available to everyone in the FA Draft. Everyone needs to do the same...let everyone know the players that are on their list of 20 and the players that are not...the ones that are not, will be available to everyone in the draft...sound good?

I want to keep the 12 franchises players only available to your franchise. In the case of BAL, drop enough to get under $80 and then pick up .50 replacements. Drop Robby then you would get 1 .50 replacement provided you are under $80. Drop two to get under and you can pick up 2 @ .50. Dropping a reserve catcher, RP and reserve OF still keeps the core of that championship team. Anyone you drop would still be only available to you during the season. You would still have 20 Orioles but you would be the only team without the highest priced 20 of your franchise. All other teams cannot drop their top 20 during the season but can drop and add their free agents.

If this is not satisfactory then feel free to pick another team.

Why would we have a draft of 8 players and carry 28 players on the roster? Why not carry 25 or even 23? For that matter, why do we need to start with 20?

Not complaining...just asking....

The idea of 20 is to keep the core of your team, otherwise it is not a franchise theme. It is up to each Manager how many players he wants to carry, 23-28. The idea of free agents allows you to take your fav team and add the necessary parts to make it a contender. A sort of what if? if you will.
In the case of BAL you would be seeing if you can still be the best in 1969 with a weaker bench and your opponents adding free agents.

[b:2a9baccb14]Questions needing answered:[/b:2a9baccb14]

1. MAJOR question.... Is the draft order in reverse EVERY round? I would think that it is as flipping each round doesn't give the weaker teams much of a benefit.

2. Why have people listed a state for lottery?

3. If someone doesn't use a franchise player, are they eligible for another team to pick up?

4. Are your rosters frozen after the draft, or can you make changes to your base team and/or FA drafted players?

5. Must you use your home teams park?

6. DH?

7. Time limit on FA draft picking?

That will be fine. I can't imagine anyone having a problem with that.

Yes it would be serpentine 1-12, 12-1, 1-12 for as many rounds as some one wants a FA up to a total of 8.
