Our historical single season sets

I'm signing up, voting no dh. I don't yet have a team picked out. Is there a list of franchise total salary? I probably don't want to pick a team that has a cap below 60 M.

ATL $67,070,000

I assume that we play in our team's stadium - correct? Also, there are some teams that don't have enough players (even after the autodraft); what happens? There are some teams, like Minn, that cannot get under a 60 mil cap since there is no combination of 24 players that is less than 60M.

A few observations: Balt and Min can't be drafted because it is impossible for these teams to get under the cap. Atl must cut Aaron (only way to get under); Det must cut either Lolich or McClain; Pit must cut Stargell and Clemente (ouch); we need a rule for teams that can't comply with HAL's requirements - the Cubs need a catcher, ANgels need a starter. Also, can we confirm that we must take our team's stadium.

How about if you allow any team over 60 mil that needs to add players to add any .50 player from any team and any team under 60 mil that needs to add players to add any cost player to still remain under the cap. Also, are the divisions by record or by salary?

[quote:cef3734d9c="Pelzer"]6 AL franchises and 6 NL..Division placement is 4 highest rated teams in AL are in the East...4 highest rated NL teams in the west....4 lowest ranked teams in central (2 AL-2NL). Ranking is based on teams record for the year.[/quote:cef3734d9c]

Divisions are by actual 1969 team records.

That is kindof the point of the league and the reason it is 60 mil cap. To make the teams even. Why let Balt. have 80 or 90 mil and a lower tier team can only get 50 mil with all their players? If you want to take a stud franchise you'll have to make some tough choices. Because of the minimum requirement we can set the league up as a 200 mil league but it will really be a 60 mil cap. This way their are no minimum salary requirements. As far as some of the shortages of players for certain teams I am in favor of letting the manager pick up a needed player from any undrafted team not to exceed a 1 mil salary for each individual player needed. ie; the Angels would be allowed to draft a pitcher with a salary up to 1 mil. and the cubs could pick a catcher likewise. Once the league starts you are stuck with that player for the duration and he may not be dumped for a different player. Is this agreeable to everyone? Feel free to voice your idea.
