Here is the link to the Giants/Red Sox team. I believe that you should be able to access the other eleven teams in the league from this link.

Thanks for the link Ken. The Giants and Red Sox went as well together as I imagined they would.

McCovey & Petro together - nice!

Gotta love it. A team named the Congressional Buffoons III managed by Harry Reid. Who were the managers of the previous two CB teams??

Harry managed both previous teams, both were Champs (believe it or not). Gotta keep the hot hand playing. If only it were so in real life...

Tonight is Game 7 of the Finals of a Two Team Theme League that I recently participated in. My team, the Giant Red Sox, is linked below and had a number of $0.50 players on the team.

http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/stratomatic/1969/team/team_other.html?user_id=40262

The three $0.50 pitchers on this team, Ray Sadecki, Bobby Bolin and Ron Herbel combined for 24 wins and 17 saves. For the first half of the season, Sadecki was stupendous, and for a short period of time was on the leaderboard in the E.R.A. category before tailing off towards the end of the season. Bolin's E.R.A. was a bit on the high side, however.

Probably the most pleasant surprise on this team was Don Marshall. Towards the end of the season I started playing him more because of the ineffectiveness of Tony Conigliaro in right field. In 213 plate appearances, DM scored 32 runs, just as many as TC did in 448 plate appearances. DM had a 0.340 on-base percentage during the 1969 season, so under the right circumstances it seems he has the capability of scoring a lot of runs.

Tommy Davis!

A stealer, so he's a great pinch-runner, 6L hitter with RBI asterisks (what's the proper word?), so he's a great pinch-hitter against lefties, but don't pinch-hit against righties. You can bat him 5th or 6th against lefties, with good AVG. and RBI numbers.

Frank "Home Run" Baker

Although he became more mediocre as the season went on, he started off at or near the top in several offensive categories. Yeah, granted this was a 25 mil league, but I have had good success with him. Another guy ya gotta love!
