RJ,
That is a good question. So, I went back and looked. There won't be a problem, but we'll keep an eye on starting pitchers to make sure there are enough to have 5 for each team.
With regard to hitters, there definitely won't be a problem. One of the nice features of the very worst players is that they tend to be very bad at a large variety of positions. Let's take for example, Len Boehmer of the Yankees. 1969 was by far the best year of Mr. Boehmer's 3 year major league career, and, in fact, was the only year he got a hit in the majors. In 1969, he bat .176 and he was particularly bad against righties, batting only .111. Against righties, his card has a Si* (1-6) on column 3, row 4; the rest of his rolls are outs. So, he wasn't a terrific slugger, but he had versatility in the field -
Defense: 1b-4e8/ 2b-4e41/ 3b-4e35/ ss-4e48
So, as long as you don't mind a sure out and a terrible fielder, Boehmer could be the ss for you. On the other hand, you could be the person nominating Boehmer - which means that another team will have to draft him, and he can't be on your team.
