[quote:507b2cd005="doctor_tax1"]Who wants the first pick.... means you also get the 24 pick... not sure if thats all that great.[/quote:507b2cd005]

Not sure how important the draft order is. There will be a boatload of players of all types available. not sure if it will matter much.

Another Mega Trade Announcement

Postby LMBombers » Thu Sep 18, 2008 5:18 am

Cuba sends Jerry Narron (50¢) to Skidmore for Rob Wilfong (50¢). This could change the balance of the league for sure!

Below are the roster rules for the 1986 game.

At all times, you must have at least 24 players and no more than 28 players on your roster.
You must have at least 13 and no more than 17 hitters.
- At least two of those hitters must be eligible to play catcher.
You must have at least 10 and no more than 12 pitchers.
You must have at least 5 pitchers who have starting pitcher Endurance ratings (e.g. S7).
You must have at least 4 "pure" relievers (i.e. a relief rating (e.g. R2) but no starter rating).

I think there should be no restrictions as to the number of hitters or pitchers that we draft as long as we end up complying with the above rules after the AD. But then again I'm not the Commish.

Remember we have the list of supplemental cheapie players who got left out of the original rosters (I actually drafted 13 teams by mistake). We'll draft those guys after our 5 stars. Keep what you want, pitch back the rest).

This is copied from a few pages back in this thread. The below players will be drafted in 3 rounds RIGHT AFTER the stars draft. Only pwooten makes the rules. What I posted above is simply the roster restrictions of the 1986 game itself. I did not intend to alter any rules that pwooten has set out.

Star Draft will be 5 rounds, serpentine based upon Wednesday night lottery picks, low to high numbers. Start crunching numbers and be ready to hit it on Wednesday night/Thursday morning. Let's not take a week to crank out this draft. If you're going to be away you can PM me a phone number where you can be texted.

Here is a group of SUPPLEMENTAL PLAYERS who weren't placed on teams. Two additional rounds will be held AFTER the star draft to draft these players. You can keep your picks and carry a 28 man roster or drop as desired. Any non-star who starts the season with you must stay with you unless traded.

Here's the supplemental player list:

Jones, Lynn LF/RF/CF 0.50
Jones, Ricky 3B/2B 0.50
Peters, Rick LF/CF 0.50
Pryor, Greg 1B/2B/3B/SS 0.50
Pyznarski, Tim 1B 0.50
Quinones, Luis 2B/3B 0.50
Wilkerson, Curtis 2B/SS 0.50
Williams, Kenny RF/CF 0.50
Knicely, Alan 1B/C 0.63
Landreaux, Ken 1B/RF/CF 0.62
Winningham, Herm CF/RF/LF 0.76
Orsulak, Joe CF/RF/LF 0.75
Solano, Julio S/R 0.50
Soto, Mario S 0.50
Kern, Jim R 0.50
Krueger, Bill S/R 0.50
Beattie, Jim S/R 0.50
Berenyi, Bruce S/R 0.50
Welsh, Chris S 0.63
Young, Matt R 0.63
Berenguer, Juan R 0.65
Gumpert, Dave R 0.65
Havens, Brad R 0.65
Searage, Ray R 0.65
Shirley, Bob R 0.65
Smithson, Mike S* 0.65
Speck, Cliff R 0.65
Stanley, Bob R 0.65
Yett, Rich R 0.65

Shoot Randy, with this group I don't mind a bit of haggling about the rules. That said, the 2-round supplemental draft should help guys like whoever said they had McRae who can't play a position. So we'll have 27-man rosters! That works.

Draft, guys, draft.
