[quote:2a94cb2297="LMBombers"]Dan, I hope your daughter is doing well. Family in the hospital comes way before SOM.[/quote:2a94cb2297]

Thanks, Randy - I agree, of course. We went through the same thing last fall and the kids started school again this year and like clockwork we all got sick again. And Norah, who is almost 2, just gets hit harder. Hopefully this will pass as she gets older.

do we pick one more here?

If everyone has a stadium we can call it done and start loading. Do they? I am at the hospital again today so will have limited contact. If someone can take us from here that'd be great. Let's form it up

Yes, any non-live drafted player (within the rules of this theme) is allowed to be picked for your last player.

OK, East is Full!

Well, one more night in the hospital coming, but our little one is doing much better and we are very hopeful about going home tomorrow. Thanks all for your understanding and concern.

As I loaded my team, I went back and forth between:

A) Being intrigued at the possible mix of decent pitching, good defense (for the most part) and the combination of slap-hitting scrubs/all or nothing wannabe sluggers. Could this team win 82-87 games and contend for a wild card?

and B) Amused at the futility of relying on Jim Spencer and Willie Crawford as clean-up hitters, and seeing Don Lock as a leadoff man against lefties. This could be rough.... This team will likely lose 90+ games and score less than 300 runs.

Either way this was a very fun draft. Just to see Woodie go #1 was worth something.

And I have to compliment and thank all of our owners. I have never had a draft with no time limit go as smoothly as this did, after we finally got going. Thanks all, I am honored to play with you all!

Best of luck,
Dan
