69' franchise theme league...60 mil and more...

Our historical single season sets

Yea, me and Anthony go back a bit. He got me a Matt Kenseth hat at the Poconos. And yea, he usually kicks my butt, but I return the favor occasionally.

I guess I was counting on the inefficiencies in the larger payroll teams to help offset the smaller payroll of the ChiSox, who will have two good OFs on the bench since there's no DH, so it disheartens me to have a means to get around it. Pitt can cut Carl Taylor, but I'll have to keep 5 OFs each 2-4 mil but with only 3 slots to play them.

But following Duke's logic about a truer representation of the Reds makes sense. I'll just have to deal with that.

At any rate, I'll be quiet now.

Hey Guys:

I am glad that everyone is working together, BUT THIS IS NOT A BIG ISSUE. We need to add one more rule. Turn on the "Avoid Using" Buttons for both Right and Left Handed Pitchers (and Batters) for any player that is not native to your team.

If we do this, THESE GUYS WILL HARDLY EVER PLAY! The batters will only get a few dozen at bats and the pitchers about 9 innings in a season. The players should not be in the starting line-up unless there is no other option. Do not list them as Pinch hitters, platoon, defensive replacements, or pinch runners.

Alright, ChiSox are in Central.

And I apologize for being overzealous earlier.

btw-- I learned something new as well. Al Lopez was a hell of a manager.

WOW!! Went to Wichita for a week and this thread was dead. Now there is 7 pages !!LOL . I did not think this thing was gonna go and diverted all my teams to other leagues and with all the discussion about rule change etc, I am gonna pass this league up..Go ahead and replace me and someone else take the reins. Good luck to all.

Hey Pelzer -- the rule changes weren't too bad. We had to try to put some finer details on some of rules that would affect the logistics of cutting down to 60mil. We tried as much as possible to put things together in the spirit as you intended and I think we've succeeded. Take another look and see what you think. It's moving forward under pretty much the guidelines you originally laid forth. We have franchises based teams. I don't think you're going to want to miss this.

hansweb is gonna load his team now

that leaves the west to load

if pelzer does drop out, that will leave us short 1 manager
At least the Senators are an easy pick for someone.
