Theme League: Economic Stimulus - Moved to Another Thread

Our historical single season sets

I think the idea is fine (adding another 4 teams), but rather than picking teams as we sign-up would still suggest getting 12 to sign-up, then drafting franchises (of the 16 eligible) via randomized draft order (a single round of 12 - fast and easy). Just my 2 cents - gives everyone an equal shot at their favs.

Agreed. It's hard to fill a league of any kind when it's a first-come-first-served format on such a strict roster requirment league.

You probably need to open up four more teams to get the league filled. No matter how we sugar coat it, no one is going to want the Padres.

I don't know....that possible SD roster above really doesn't look that bad.

i like the original concept but it seems we wouild fill a lot quicker if we went with a draft of teams.

i suggest we switch to draft and rqeach out to those who suggested it

i am also happy myself with any decision you make

No one has suggested anything different that hasn't already signed up that I can see.

yeah but he is signed up so it's not like if we go to a draft of teams that we would get any new players from this thread anyway.

LMB is right - nobody "that hasn't signed-up" has suggested otherwise. My point was I may want to switch to one of the four expanded teams, but still feel we will need a franchise draft to fill. I shouldn't get first shot just becasue I was one of the first to see the news of a possible expansion to 16 teams. Can we start a sign -up with an assumed draft - same rules (65M payroll, etc.) - and see what happens?

So far Risden and I have agreed to the concept of a franchise draft (see pg. 1).

And for the record, I am fine going with my current pick (LA) too - I too am in either way.
