What is over under on games behind for rookies like Gordie and I whom have never played?Or seen mgr instructions?Do rookies ever get over .500? My wife cant drink wine anymore ,I have a huge cellar of potential prizes.....Do you guys think we can stay within 14 games of first? How often do the same 12 guys keep entering the same league so you could have standings and side prizes, trophy etc.?Does the system have computer players? Can you have say six guys draft and the computer represent the other six teams?Does anybody play the computer game from the SOM company?Is it any good?I played from 1971-78. Its been a long time. The original 69 set was what Gordie and I started with. Only basic game. No advance cards.

Below is a rather awkward snapshot of the items available in the "Manager Strategy" section of the game. You can generally set your team for a variety of features (like Base Running, Base Stealing, Infield In, etc.).

Each individual player can be set as well (for example, you can set a slow-footed to "conservative" Base Running, but if you have one speed demon (Joe Morgan, as an example), you can set his individual characteristics to "Very Aggressive".

There are two pre-set lineups (one versus RHP and one versus LHP). There are a few ways to set up your pitching rotation as well.

If worse comes to worse we can finish the last couple rounds here. The biggest hassle is designating your 6 non-drafted palyers without the benefit of the somdraft site to show who's available. I captured a snapshot of the draft right now just in case.

Hi All- Now that we are in Round 20 - we are getting close. A reminder - Risden will set-up the league and send the password to East teams first, then once east is full Central, then West - this assures we all get in the correct division.

The league will be set up as $200M/waivers/NO DH - as planned. Remember to carry 2 catchers, at least 5 pitchers that can start and at least five that can relieve. And select the stadium you drafted when you set-up your team.

Make sure to select only non-drafted players with your final six roster slots.

In ranking your players, put your 19 selected players at the BOTTOM of your draft list. The other 6 players should be at the TOP of your draft list!!!

This is important - let us know on this message board if you do NOT understand and we can walk through it in order to insure that all players get an equal shot at the last few spots on their roster!!
