RJ- the wine is a nice offer, but maybe lower the bar a bit? I have won 2 titles and my most wins in any TSN Strat game were 94. I am sure the others have more, but .620 is a big stretch.

As the Commish (Dan) noted, the draft will be tonight at Midnight EST. At that time, you will see your roster (and the roster of everybody else) of 25 players - 10 Pitchers and 15 Hitters.

We can then send messages to each other within that league - no need to send messages here any longer.

You'll also see the WAIVER ORDER LIST. We can walk through specifics later, but we will all have the opportunity to draft players via the wire (order determined by which owner received the least to most players on a weighted average in the draft).

IF WE FILL THIS TONIGHT, the waiver draft will be at 5 PM EST on Thursday and the first games will be scheduled to play next Monday, March 2.

I will offer a seat at CitiField, (named after CitiBank, sponsored by our tax dollars) next to me to the winner of this league. (You buy the Beer and Dirty Water Dogs, be warned, I like beer and Dogs)
How's that GF?

where is everybody from?

I am embarassed to admit I am a detroit fan , the Lions (0-16) MY FAVORITE TEAM. I have lived in Chicago suburbs for 26 years. I have 6 season tickets to the Bears. I could offer tickets or wine to the winner. Though I was hoping for something that a rookie had a chance to win. I am assuning .500 is a reasonable goal for inaugural effort. For conversation, I would enjoy a league better where guys whom have less than 100 AB or 45 innings pitched were ineligible. Hate having the sanctity of 1969 destroyed by some mutant sub. I have a feeling the backwards RP are worthless in a computer league.

Jett, you have restored my faith in human nature! Thanks! And I will budget $200 for the beer and dirty dogs.

RJ - I know a few other Lions fans but they haven't mentioned it recently. Good to know all are not fair weather fans.

I am from MN - grew-up watching the Vikes drop 4 Super Bowls. I have them on DVD and watch them once in awhile still thinking they might win. Especially Against Pitt 2-0 at half-time and 9-6 late in the game. How pitiful is that? Ugh.

This will be fun fellas The Last Waltz, $300 wine, seats at Citi, and and all expense paid trip to Chicago for a Cubs-Sox day-night double header if Risden wins, including a long afternoon at Harry Carey's the next day - you are too kind Bob!

I'll post a $25 gift card from my sports memorabilia website for the champ. The website is allstarincwebsite.com.

If either (or both) of the rooks (gordie or RJ) finish within 5 games of .500, they get a $25 gift card too.

There ya go! Let the games begin!
