If I know Curt, he's re-reading all 818 pages of his 1970 baseball analysis book, cross-referencing it with Bill James and implementing the theory of relativity to see if drafting both the Aaron brothers will help him...he'll make a pick by Monday, I'm sure....

Pick made. Originally tempted to pick (Hank) Aaron, but this fills needs better.

That was Epstein's nickname. I think he applied it himself.

I wanted to get at least one of the guys I admired the most (two players there, Hank being one of them), my all-time favorite player, and the three '69 players I've actually met. I should get at least one of those, I hope. (Three of them were HOFers, one didn't miss by much, and one was at least pretty well known. Cryptic enough?)

I have proxies on, too, so it should move if Charlie is available to make a pick.

Wow, totally predictable so far....

My first five proxies, made after Curt picked Petrocelli, match the order of the draft up to my pick of Boog. I bet many other peoples' did too.

Ultimately, I couldn't go with my fave player of all time this early and still think I'd get a total stud.
