LMBombers,

Hopefully we fill and you can set proxies or email/text your choices to someone.

Have a good trip.

We are approaching death. If we don't get another sign up by August 31, I'll declare the league dead.

Too bad, we are quite close to filling.

1. franky35 - DD, Dick Allen
2. LMBombers - DD, Pete Rose
3. Rick Smith - DD, Jim Kaat
4. ehlekev - DD, Tony Oliva
5. AllStarInc- DD, Pete Rose
6. Paul_Long71- DD, Pete Rose
7. RJnewman-DD. Pete Rose
8. GordieHowe -DD, Pete Rose
9. gfdwarf - DD Tony O!
10. Poppa Rock - DD, Curt Flood (How could he not be?)
11. J Law - DD, Dick Allen
12.

I know Pete Rose will be the 36th HOF, but cast my vote for Dick Allen. We lived near Chicago in the early seventies and my Dad was a good friend of Joe Lutz - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Lutz We always got good tickets when the Indians came to Comiskey and I loved Dicky Allen (I remember asking my Dad how he could smoke cigarettes while he was playing!) Anyway, what good fortune I got to see him play during his MVP Season. He had a sweet swing and believe one of the best pure hitters of all time!

1972 .308 AVE, .420 OB, .603 SLG, 1.023 OPS

If you read the page about Joe Lutz, it mentions he was the first foreign manager in Japan. I remember my Dad talking about he got fired after arguing a call ... he sat on home plate and could not be removed from the game ... he got fired only 15 games into the season!

The league is definitely not dead! Just one more and we draft. Instant Gratification!!!

As an added incentive, we'll name the league after the next (and final) player voted for the Hall.

Once the last owner has signed up, please someone run a randomizer for draft order.

I wish I was smart enough to paste in this photo of Dick Allen:

One more. Are you kidding me, we can't fill with just one more?

We have a great bunch of guys in this league and it is sure to be a lot of fun. The last theme league (including many of the guys signed up here) just finished up. Game 7 of that World Series was a barn burner that went 13 innings with 5 lead changes, 37 hits, 2 HRs in extra innings, 6 steals, and some questionable pitching substitutions. Belanger doubled in Mike Lum with the winning run.

Welcome aboard, LJs to the Dick Allen - Hall of Fame league!

Can someone run a randomizer? I don't know how to do that.

Round 1 - hall of famers (including Rose)
Round 2 - hall of famers (incl Rose)
Round 3 - Unique stadiums
Round 4 - hall of famers (incl Rose)
Round 5-25 - the rest of the players

Divisions are East - 1, 4, 7, 10; etc

No clock for first couple of rounds.

I'll try an set up the draft on DiamondDope - this will be my first time setting up a draft there.
