Ed,
I hadn't seen the posting for it, but put my name in for it. You guys are sucking me into the 1969 vortex. The horror!

Saw your name there. Thanks only need 3 more. If Kev signs up and AuntTookie decides to give it a whirl we will be down to 1 spot left.

Welcome to the world of theme league play. If the ATG version of this theme plays out anything like the version just completed using the 1969 set it should be alot of fun and produce some very surprising stats.

two card rule

Postby Rjnewman » Sun Dec 11, 2011 11:44 am

So if you draft a guy with two cards you can switch if you stay under cap but would forfeit the 20% free agent fee? What if guy u have has another batting card above 1million?

You can just draft the cheap card of the player. Nobody else will be able to have that player, and prior to the season starting you can exchange the card for other cards of that player without losing money, assuming you have the salary available. Once the season starts, the money loss per FA deal kicks into effect.

The ATG interface is quite a bit different from the '69 game, with a lot more options for player setups (BP settings, hitting settings, and such). This Wiki site may help.

Tookie, I sent you a personal memo asking you to clarify which league your signup request was intended for. A question has been raised as to whether you wanted to join the raise the mound atg style game where your name has been added, or if your signup request was meant for the small market w/ franchise players 1969set league. The small market league has only 1 vacant spot and we want to get this right. Please respond and remove the doubt. Thanks

The raise the mound league is the one I'd prefer.
I assume that the rule will be that all batters must stay at $1 million and below (right)?

one of the comments above suggested you could draft an under $1 Million guy and then change years. that would defeat the purpose imo.

You are correct. In this league at no time can you have a hitter on your roster with a salary greater than 1mil. However, you could switch between pitchers years or hitters years that had more than 1 card at 1mil or less. As long as that move would not cause you to exceed the overall salary cap.
