what about trades just after the draft to fix league affiliation "mistakes" made by the computer? For instance, I have an NL team but get assigned Derek Jeter in the 2nd round. Under normal circumstances I am fine as the player I wanted was just replaced by a player that was close. In this league, however, I will not be able to use Jeter so I will have to trade to drop him.

Trading him and getting equal value for him will be difficult. I may not be able to get an NL SS of his callibur so I will have to trade for another NL player at a different position. As defence counts in this game that may be a big hit.

Just wondering if people have thought of this?

Trades are allowed - but if you have a NL team, you must be trading for NL players. If an AL team, you must be trading for AL players.

Therefore, trading within "conferences" is permitted, but trading with the other conference is not permitted.

Basically, it is an honor system - everyone is expected to abide by these constructed "rules" for this league.

Of course, if you find that you have players from the "wrong" conference/league, then you MUST either draft, trade or drop/free agent pick up to "fix" the problem.
