McCovey can be had in a trade for two really good players for other positions. They would have to be better than I could have gotten through the draft though. You guys with talent-laden teams should think about this.

Nate Colbert also can be available in exchange for a non-1B of similar price.

sorry if this holds things up, but the Cubs are considering trading their 1st round pick (3rd overall). PM me if you are interested.

As noted in the rules, trades do not affect team salary for purposes of draft order or for money available in the draft.

Just to let everyone know...

I've adapted this theme and started a thread for a 1986 league that will follow the EXACT rules of this one...with one exception...I will have people vote for DH/no-DH when they sign up...

The Padres have just sent Willie McCovey to the Cubs in exchange for Paul Popovich and the Cubs first-round pick.
