NL Only League / 60 mil Cap & Live Draft

Our historical single season sets

Postby Sykes25 » Tue Oct 11, 2005 9:05 am

My wife and I will be in Chicago to celebrate our anniversary and to attend a wedding of a grade school friend of hers. My itinerary is actually quiet filled. Going to some bar on top of the John Hancock Center one night as well. No time for a mini-strat meeting. My wife would kill me.

I am staying at the Whitehall which only has dial up, but my wife said there is a Starbucks 2 blocks away so I can check in once/twice a day to set proxies and stuff.

Dinner at Le Nomades on Friday night. Should be fun.

Draft has been created folks. Please load up your proxies accordingly.

I DID NOT exclude any players. It is your responsibility to choose NL players only.

I cannot force Sneeze's pick, so he will need to check in to get us rolling officially.

My proxy will be loaded.

4 hour clock folks.

sykes...if you know how, and want to give me administrative rights I'm around most days this week and can help move things along and speed up the process. Im also available for any proxies by p.m. if anyone has trouble with the sight. our last '69 draft on there had a couple of breakdowns...

draft is underway...barely. so far people are using the ENTIRE four hour window. four o'clock eastern, and there have been THREE picks made! riggo's public proxies are looking good.

I think its a pretty big stretch to assume all 12 owners know we are up and running, since it took this league several weeks to fill. As it stands right now, I don't have time to go input proxies today, so will try and do some tonight, but in the meantime if the draft gets to me, it might very well sit there for several hours, since I am not monitoring the computer all day.

Agree w/ Brool's point. I think standard operating procedure is NO TIME LIMIT in Round #1. Once everyone knows draft is underway and has proxies loaded, this should go pretty quickly.

I think a couple of owners indicated they would be out of town over the weekend, so no clock from 9 PM Friday, 10/14 to 9 AM Monday, 10/17. Does that sound OK to everyone? 8)
