Game Malfunction Ruins League

Strat messed up our draft. For one of the teams in our league, it only drafted 24 players, only one of which was a catcher. Also, this team was only given 75.1 million dollars instead of 80 million. The entire league is upset with this, and has sent numerous emails to strat requesting the league be restarted, ended (with the money refunded), or free teams be given to each manager. Strat has refused to honor any of these requests, leaving us with a completely unfair league, with one manager nearly five million dollars short. As you would expect, his team is 1-8 with no hope on the horizon. Am I in the wrong expecting Strat to provide us with the product we paid for in a completely fair and equal league?

Can we get Bernie involved here?

Hi Kate, my name is Chris Seaver and I am also in the league. I manage the ExTown Nasty Twins. I am extremely disappointed with Strat's mistake with the Antartican Nigel Diggs salary cap and their terrible customer service in righting this issue. I have sent them numerous emails requesting a fix and it sounds like they read the first line and disregard it. I was told to not worry about it, the season is long, and it would even out in the end. That doesn't change the fact that they didn't provide the Antartican Nigel Diggs with the team he paid for and they didn't provide us with the equal fair league we all paid for. Our league members have given strat over $5000 business in just over two years time and the first time we have an issue and ask customer service for help we are basically ignored and treated like garbage. Can we get Bernie to step in and right this horrific wrong?
Fix it!

This isn't right. I manage the Lyboro Pettymen in this league and I think that some action should be taken by Strat. They messed it up and it needs to be fixed. As of right now this league is unfair competition due to the missing part of the Antartican Nigel Diggs. Who knows what players would be where if he had all of his money. He might have been able to draft another player that someone else has and that could change the whole chemistry and outcome of the league. I for one have played in 19 leagues and have never asked for anything of strat. I know many others in our league have paid for numerous amounts of teams as well. First of all, no matter who this has happened to Strat should take some responsibility and fix it or compensate our league in some way. Second, it should also be fixed due to the loyalty of our league memebers. We have bought and paid for tons of leagues and now when we need something we are being ignored. Really unproffessional if you ask me.

My name is Ryan Seaver and I am in this league as well as the manager of the Waterboro Gangstars. I have bought 20 teams from strat-o-matic in the past couple years. This is the first time that we've had a problem in all of our leagues. When we count on Strat to help us the most, we get told that the season is long and Antartican Nigel Diggs who started off 1-8 could easily come back. I agree with the everyone else that has posted emails, that this is unfair because Nigel Diggs could have gotten different players with 5 million extra dollars. I'm pretty sure everyone in strat knows how important that kind of money is. After being so loyal to Strat, it is hard to understand that they don't want to satisfy a customer or 12 to be exact. We are just asking for something to come of this. Let's get some other opinions on this matter.

Leo,
They gave Antartican Nigel Diggs the money back after waivers and free agency was over, and they think that is ok. There were still so many good players out there on the market and now he has to lose money if he wants to buy another player. Strat didn't think that giving him the money back in the middle of the first week would matter, but how would you feel if this happened to your team. You couldn't be able to spend 5 million on a player in the waivers?

This is outrageous, especially when you think that 1969 is a newly launched product.
Bernie's email address is no secret (bhou@sportingnews.com). He is a very fair and sensible man. Let him know the situation.
Good luck!

This would probably be more likely noticed by TSN if you placed this thread in the Questions, suggestions for TSN forum.

Bernie has been good about fixing things if you let him know. I was in an 80s league where someone had two teams and made trades to load up one squad. The entire league got a free credit and we replayed the league without the cheater.
Didn't matter though, I sucked in both leagues. Did appreciate the fact that TSN took care of it though.

You guys should know by now that TSN is Bernie's night job, or whenever he can get to it. It's not his fault that he doesn't even work there during the day.
Anybody else think there has been a distinct downturn in the quality of customer service which seems to date from the imposition of this terrible message board, which takes forever to load?
