Witt was dominant, allowing just 3 walks while striking out 10 Minnesota batters in giving the Rangers bullpen a much needed night off.

With the victory, the Rangers have now won 8 consecutive games, and 13 out of their last 17. All four of the losses in that time period, however, have come at the hands of the A.L. West division leaders- the California Angels, whom Texas still trails by 9.5 games.

In modern day MLB ('06 season above), the era of the 6/7 inning SP and bullpen specialization, how does Strat allow a SP to go that deep into a game and not wear down, implode?

It would appear the durability rating isn't accurate & I thought SOM prided itself on realism. Another ex: again 2006 not '86--
$5.86M Rich Harden went 12-8 and as only an S5 often went 7 innings if not a CG especially at home (AT&T) in a P's park.
