McCullers was dominant, allowing just one hit and two walks. Despite the tremendous outing, McCullers seemed headed for a tough loss after allowing a 3rd inning Kirk Gibson sac fly RBI. That run held up until the 7th, when Pat Tabler's 2 run single put the Indians ahead for good.

The victory was the 7th straight for Cleveland, which surprisingly moved the Indians to within eight games of the first place Blue Jays in the American League East, after Toronto [url=http://www.sportingnews.com/baseball/1986/scores/boxscore.php?id=1308][u:4cb2d4797a]dropped their 3rd consecutive home game[/u:4cb2d4797a][/url] last night.
