Need help. I thought that if you did not get the position player you wanted, then the system would place the next most similar player on your team. In my 86 draft, I did not get Cal Ripken ($7.8mm) - instead I get Spike Owen (.6mm)?? Despite Fernandez and Brooks being available.

Can you post your roster after the AD?

I got a couple weird choices as well, but nothing nearly that bad.

While this sounds a bit extreme, when I look at the SS pool it is not out of the question. If you do not get your selected player you get the next lower salaried player available in the draft pool (the two players listed cost more than Ripken).

Now after Ripken there aren't alot of SS priced above $1M that are listed as SS as their primary position. So it could be very likely that if D. Thon and one or two other SS are drafted below Ripken, S. Owens might be the next best substitute. The SS position drops off fast and the #12 SS is D. Thon I think. It is a really weak position in 1986.
