<img src="http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/images/baseball/stratomatic/1986/story_photos/jack_clark_150x195.jpg" align="left" border="1" width="150" height="195" style="margin: 0px 10px;" /> While many across the nation celebrated the Easter holiday, fans of the Cardinals, Mets, Pirates, Phillies, Expos and Cubs celebrated their own holiday... "East Sunday", so named after all six NL East teams won cross-division games over their rivals from the NL West.

As a result of "East defeating West" in all six games, the entire National League division standings remain unchanged from Saturday, as each NL team neither gained nor lost ground.

The Cardinals and Mets remained tied in the East, and San Diego maintained its 1.5 game lead over the Houston Astros.

Among the highlights for the National League East...

St. Louis 1B Jack Clark led the [u:09bc3a4c04]Cardinals to a 3-2, 12th inning win[/u:09bc3a4c04] with a bases loaded RBI single. Hitting singles has proven to be a rare event for Clark in 1986, as he has just 42 singles in over 450 plate appearances on the season. The running total so far in 1986... Clark has 42 singles & 42 extra base hits.

Pitcher Rick Sutcliffe showed off his hitting skills at Wrigley Field, hitting a two run home run that sparked a 5 run inning, [u:09bc3a4c04]leading the Cubs to a 6-3 victory[/u:09bc3a4c04] over the Cincinnati Reds.

New York OF Darryl Strawberry blasted his 32nd home run [u:09bc3a4c04]in the Mets 4-2 win[/u:09bc3a4c04] over the San Fran Giants. Strawberry trails only Dave Parker (34) in the NL.

In San Diego... Kevin Gross (11-8) pitched the [u:09bc3a4c04]Phillies past the Padres 6-1[/u:09bc3a4c04].
